Characteristics of a Narrative Essay
Uses the first-person point of view (use the words I, am, me, my, we, our, us)
Organized chronologically and includes all the parts of a story; an introduction, characters, setting, plot, climax, and conclusion
Shares the significance of events using thoughts and feelings
Uses lots of vivid details to describe the people and setting
The reflective ending shows how the experience affected the writer
